the neumann project.

Imagine the City of Los Angeles without freeways. A city where pedestrians actually use the side walk for walking, and rail cars buzzing around town like fireflies. Flashback to the golden era of Hollywood during the 30's and 40's when this was a reality. This was when a small group of delinquents decided to "soupe" up their old Ford model T's and raced them down towards Hollywood and Highland (the original quarter mile). This of course was a huge issue with the local tabloids, and was considered a menace to society. Of course any form of rebellion is considered a box office hit which eventually landed the act in major motion pictures forever immortalizing it history. Bill Neumann a small town east coast boy was fascinated by these new machinery. He loved these cars so much that he decided to relocate to Burbank C.A. to pursue his dream of motorsports. He first started writing columns for the Petersen Publishing company then eventully opening his own aftermarket parts company specifically for the volkswagen vehicle. Witha strong precence of the Import car market in the 90's he decided to produce aftermarket products for Honda's. This was one of the first few companies to produce quality aftermarket products for sport compact cars which substantially was a hit in the southern california youth market. This eventually lead to Neuspeed sponsoring  a BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) Race team campainging the european version of the Honda Accord.

Big john In the studio.

Wait till' his soundcloud account is in effect!

thursday with Big John.

Last Thursday, John and I went to XLARGE store in Los Angeles to check out  DJ D-Styles and some really cool gear! For those of you who don't know who Dj D-Styles is, He has been around for years representing a crew called Invisible Skratch Piklez who have won a lot of dj battles in the Mid-90's and early 2000's, as well as the world famous Beat Junkies. He is known for his eclectic music and for being very skilled in the form of scratching. John and I caught up on the latest clothing, music, and art which consisted of actual pages ripped from black books of graffiti artists and X-Large's own Mickey Mouse hands inside the store walls which formed LA. I posted a flyer with the address and  recommend that you check out this store if you are looking for some fresh street gear!
